Charles
Commero, 83, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 4,
2009 at Audubon Villa. He was born in Lancaster and was the son of
the late Joseph and Marie (Paparo) Commero.
Charles was of
the Catholic faith and was a long time member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church.
He served his
country in WWII with the United States Army.
Charles was
employed by the Downingtown Paper Box Company as a printer and
pressman and retired from Skyline Distribution as a forklift
operator.
His
memberships include the Italian American Citizen Club, honorary
retired member of International Brotherhood of the Teamsters Union
Local 771, and AARP.
Surviving is a
son, Joseph C. Commero, husband of Diane, of Lancaster, a grandson
Michael C. Commero, of Lancaster, a brother Joseph D. Commero, of
Lancaster, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, James and John Commero, and a sister
Rosemary Shissler.
A Christian
Prayer Service will be held from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral
Home, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA on Friday, August 7, 2009 at
10am with Rev. Leo Goodman Officiating. A viewing will be held at
the funeral home from 9-10am. Interment will take place from St.
