I never knew Ben until the spring semester of my freshman year of high school. He was in my first block history class. Come lunch time i had no place to sit so Ben gladly let me sit at his table. We became friends quickly. He was a funny and very interesting guy. We both owned an Xbox 360 console in which we would play together over Xbox live. So even when i couldn't see him face to face, we talked, laughed, and had a great time over playing games like halo 3. It was through the same system that I received the message of his death, I was shocked. I never thought I would have to write something like this, he was just way too young. To his parents, I cannot even attempt to be in as much pain as you, and could never fathom what it would be like to lose a child. But Ben did  a lot to me, and all of his friends, school is not the same knowing he's gone. But in the memory of Ben, I will smile.
