Doris King Yarnell, 82 of Lancaster went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Mount Joy Hospice Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jasper F. and Naomi Boose King. Doris was married to Richard S. Yarnell for 48 years in July. She retired from Hamilton Watch after 26 years of service and worked 10 years for Sears. After retirement she went into antiques and collectables.

Doris graduated from McCaskey High School in1943 and was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Lancaster for 55 years.

 Surviving besides her husband is a stepdaughter, Linda Swartz of Florida and a brother, Robert King of Lancaster.

A funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, Pa on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11AM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
