James L. Shillow Jr. after an extended illness passed away on February 5, 2008 at the age of 84 at home. 

A longtime resident of Lancaster County he was retired from Hamilton Technologies.  He was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.  He also served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. 

He was the son of James and Loretta G. Shillow.  He will be lovingly missed by his wife Phyllis Z. Shillow and his sister Loretta (Tootie) Bender.  He is survived by his daughter Phyllis Spangler of Naples, FL and his son James L. Shillow III and wife Rose.   He is also survived by four grandchildren Michael and Lance Eckert and Rene Arthur and Noel Shaw and four great grand children.
