Frances M. Simmons Rote, 93, of Willow Street, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born May 25, 1915 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Anna Weigand Simmons. She was the widow of the late Richard H. Rote.

Mrs. Rote was a homemaker and a life member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church.  

Mrs. Rote is survived by one son, Richard P. wife of Ann Rote of Willow Street; three grandchildren; two great-grand children; one brother, Charles Simmons of Conestoga; one sister, Dolores Mimnall of Millersville.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 440 Saint Joseph St. Lancaster, PA 17603 at 11:00a.m. with Msgr. Thomas Smith officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery.
