Maria L. Portalatin, 74, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 18, 2008 in the ER at LGH.

Born January 13, 1934, in Manati, PR, she was the daughter of the late Bautista Portalatin and Jenoveba Seda. She was married to the late Esteban Gonzalez who died in 2000.

She is survived by daughter, Carmen D. Gonzalez, wife of Roberto Medina of Town Barceloneta, PR; daughter, Auria E. Gonzalez of Lancaster; son, Esteban Gonzalez, husband of Carmen Rosado of Lancaster; daughter,  Nancy Gonzalez of Lancaster; daughter, Nilza I. Gonzalez of Lancaster; daughter, Norma I. Gonzalez of New York; son, David Gonzalez, husband of Silvia Garces of New York; daughter, Carmen M. Gonzalez of Lancaster; daughter, Natividad Gonzalez, wife of Angel Santiago of New York; son, Elizandy Gonzalez, husband of Fatima Carolina of New York; son, Nelson Gonzalez, husband of Margarita Quintana of New York; son, Hector I. Gonzalez, husband of Kimaura of Lancaster; son, Eliezer Gonzalez, husband of Johana Rivera of New York; and daughter, Ruth M. Gonzalez of Lancaster; 40 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 East King St., Lancaster. The public viewing will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM.
