Thomas L. McClintock, PhD, 72, died peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital of respiratory failure on May 23, 2008. He was surrounded by his family.  

Dr. McClintock earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 1961 and taught for over 20 years at Temple University. A dedicated teacher, he inspired many students with his passion for philosophy and published two books and numerous papers on various areas of the subject.  

He is survived by his wife of  52 years, Ann Taylor McClintock, Millersville; son Michael T., married to Robin (Nemlich), Hendricks, West Virginia; and son John E., married to Jodi (Warren), Millersville; and grandchildren Cory; Katie and Maggie.
