Dorothy M. Martin, 95, of Lancaster, passed away on January 7, 2008 at Mennonite Home.  Born in Lancaster, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Harry P. and Daisy M. Kendig Kirchner.  She was married to the late Francis G. Martin, Sr. for 60 years, until his death in 1994.   

Dorothy was employed as secretary to Father Homola at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church for 8 years before retiring in 1987.  Prior to that, she was employed by Quality Printing for 10 years, Richard Miller Printing for 5 years, and Veitch Printing for 12 years.  

A member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, Dorothy was a member of the St. Philips Women’s Auxiliary, Rosary Society, and Guys and Dolls.  She was also member of Green Acres Garden Club, Red Rose Quilters Guild, IFCA, and The Girls’ Card Club. 

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Francis G. Jr., Jere P., and Michael H. Martin, of Lancaster, 5 grandchildren, and 5 greatgrandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, and daughter, Kathy Martin Pierce. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA.  Friends may pay their respects to the family from 10 until 11 at the church.  Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, or Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
