Arthur W. Fitzkee, Sr., 73, of Landisville, passed away on December 1, 2008 at Hospice of Lancaster County Mt. Joy Center.  He was born on Sept. 22, 1935 in Conestoga, PA to the late Oliver and Mable (Gebhart) Fitzkee.

Arthur was the husband of Anna Mary (Cramer) Fitzkee. They were married on May 19, 1956 and celebrated 52 years of marriage

Arthur was an auto mechanic for more than 40 years. He worked in many local garages around Lancaster.

Arthur was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating down the Susquehanna River with his family, playing games on the computer, and collecting model cars. His love was working on cars; taking them apart and putting them back together, spending time with his family and his dog Benji of 16 years. One of his best memories was when he taught his two sons how to hunt and fish.

Surviving besides his wife is a son Arthur W. Jr. husband of Tara of Lancaster, son Steven E. husband of Patricia of Lancaster, daughter Barbara Herr of Lititz, daughter Cheryl Althouse of Lancaster, grandchildren Steven Jr. of Lancaster, Stephanie Herr of Mt. Joy, Zachary Herr of Landisville and Matthew Althouse of Lancaster, one great-grand daughter Aaliyah, sister Betty Sample of Conestoga, sister Pauline Reineer of New Providence. Also survived by sons-in-law Robert Herr and Ronald Althouse.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pk, Lititz, Pa 17543 (717) 560-5100 on Thursday December 4, 2008 at 11am with Rev. David A. Thomann officiating.
