Jerry D. Elkind, 78, of Lancaster passed away at home Saturday, January 26, 2008. He is survived by his wife Mary. Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the son of the late William and Clara (Rabinowitz) Elkind.

Jerry served his country for 7 years in the Air Force before he became a business owner. Jerry was the owner of the Duke Clothier for 38 years and the former owner of TMB. He was a member of the American Legion Post 34 and the Actor’s Company of PA. Jerry attended Temple Beth El. He had a passion for acting and was in over 50 productions in Lancaster County and was in the locally produced movie “The Whole Truth”.

Surviving in addition to his wife is 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Jerry is preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 393-9661.
