
John R.
Easterbrook, Sr., 72, Manheim, met an untimely passing on
Saturday, August 30th at Lancaster Regional Hospital. He was
born in Chambersburg PA, the son of the late John C. and
Marian B (Elliott) Easterbrook.
John is survived by his wife Lois (Ogrinc) and daughters, Jana
of Mohrsville, Tara and fiance David Wissing of Lititz, and
son John R. Jr., husband of Daniela (Staidl) of Alexandria,
VA. Two granddaughters, Erin N. Thompson of Lancaster and Reya
Henderson of Elizabethtown. Two brothers, Theodore, husband of
Alice, Hamburg and David, husband of Patricia, Mohrsville.
Also many nieces and nephews.
John served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Early in his working
career he owned and operated his own barber shop. He then
graduated from the police academy and was a motorcycle officer
for the Albuquerque Police Department. Eventually he retired
from Raymark Industries in Manheim after 35 years. He was
founder and treasurer for the B.O.A. Motorcycle Club for 21
years and past president of the 521 Club. John enjoyed camping
and was an avid motorcyclist. He also enjoyed spending time at
Rehoboth Beach with family and friends. He will be greatly
missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral
Home and Chapel Inc. 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 from 6- 8PM and Thursday,
September 4th, 2008 from 9-10Am with services at 10AM.
Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading PA. Contributions
