Joseph Ramsay Barry III, 76, of Lancaster, originally of Aston PA, Delaware County was called home from his earthly journey, on Saturday February 16, 2008, at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph Ramsay Barry Jr. and Florence E. (McCullough) Barry. He was the husband of  Marie A. (McGowan) Barry, to whom he married on October 17, 1953. 

Mr. Barry was employed by Pennsylvania Home Remodeling Company as the Vice President of Sales, before retiring in March of 1992. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Men of Malvern, St. Joseph of Aston and St. Philips the Apostle Catholic Church. 

Surviving in addition to his wife Marie are two daughters; Cathleen M, married to Christopher Walker of Swedesboro, N.J and Elizabeth M, married to William Whalen of King of Prussia, three sons; Matthew J. Barry, married to Grace of West Chester, PA, Andrew J. Barry, married to Barbara of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Michael J. Barry, married to Pamela of Landenberg PA. Joseph was a devoted Pop Popto his eleven grandchildren. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20^th, 2008 at 11AM. At St. Philips the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, with Msgr. Mercurio A. Fregapane as Celebrant. Friends may be received from 10AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Cemetery in Chester Heights PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, Box, 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. The Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc.
