Jason A. "Dawg" Madonna

Jason A. “Dawg” Madonna, 21, of 146 Longfellow Drive, Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 23, 2007 at his home.

 Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Jeffrey and Tammy (Korzniecki) Madonna of Lancaster. He was the loving brother of Kirsten Madonna of Lancaster.

Jason was a 2004 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School where he played on the school’s baseball team. He attended Misericordia College for three years and was transferring to James Madison University in the fall to pursue his dream of playing college baseball.  He was employed by his family’s construction business, J.R. Fulmer and Sons. Jason was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lancaster. He enjoyed going to the beach, but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Surviving in addition to his parents and sister are his grandparents, James and Rosalind Fulmer of New Providence, and Lou and Claudette Korzniecki of Ronks; his aunts and uncles, Shelly Korzniecki, companion of Scott Denlinger of Ronks, Ryan Fulmer of Lancaster, Lucretia Patton, wife of Kevin of Lancaster, Anthony Madonna of Lancaster, William Loeb of Philadelphia,  Theresa Stoeckl of New York, NY, William Stoeckl husband of Virginia of Lancaster and his girlfriend, Alissa Popalis of East Petersburg. Jason was preceded in death by his uncle, Mark Fulmer.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, at 10AM. Friends will be received from 8-10AM at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jason’s memory to Lancaster Catholic Baseball Association, 630 Juliette Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601 or The Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster PA 17601.
