Verna M. Harrison, 88, formerly of 27 N. Charlotte St., died Sunday at ManorCare of Lancaster.

 Born in Manor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Susie Mellinger Deitrich. She was the loving wife of the late John L. Harrison who died in 2005.

 Verna was a 1937 graduate of Penn Manor High School. She spent her time raising her family and tending to her home. She loved doing crossword puzzles and embroidery. Verna was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Willow Street.

 Surviving are her daughters, Brenda L. Witmer, wife of Raymond L., of Lancaster, and Cynthia A. Rossos, wife of Nickolas, of Lancaster, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

 Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 25, 2007 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 W. Penn Grant Rd., Willow Street, beginning at 11AM. Friends may be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park following the luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Verna’s memory to Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 W. Penn Grant Rd., Box 635, Willow St., PA 17584.
