Marion
S. Nissley, 84, formerly of 402 Lampeter Rd., Lancaster,
passed away on Monday at the Concierge Nursing Home in
Houston, Texas following extended illness. Marion was the
wife of Charles G. Nissley of Houston, with whom she
celebrated 56 years of marriage this past February 3rd.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Robert E.
and Edith (Hacker) Springer.
She had worked as the office manager for the Edgar Wright
Realty Co. of Lancaster for 22 years. Upon retirement, Marion
and her husband retired to Leesburg, Florida, where they
enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Prior to joining Wright
Realty she was a beautician, working from her shop on Lampeter
Road. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lancaster
and was a graduate of McCaskey High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter,
Penny, married to Robert Rozelle of Houston and by 2
grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Rozelle. Marion is also
survived by 2 stepdaughters, both of Lancaster: Carol Ann,
married to William Driendel, and Sandra married to Don Perry,
and by 6 step-grandchildren, Melissa, Cynthia, Samantha,
Stacy, Scott and Steven. She was preceded in death by 3
sisters: Mildred, Frances, and Catherine, and by a brother,
Robert. |
