Richard J. Sauder, 53, of Lancaster died Monday evening at his residence.

He worked at Herr and Sacco as a Supervisor for 18 years.  Richard loved the outdoors, hunting and especially his dog, Buddy.  He was a member of the Lancaster Hiking Club and the Manheim Sportsmen’s Assoc. and a lifetime member of the NRA.  He was loyal and devoted to all his family and friends.

Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Clarence and Esther Gottselig Sauder.

Surviving are two children; William married to Emily Lane of Lancaster; and Stephanie J. Lane of Lancaster; three grandchildren; Ethan, Elizabeth and Sarah.

A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St., Millersville on Friday at 11:00am.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00am until time of service.  Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602 or to United Against Puppy Mills, PO Box 7202, Lancaster, PA 17604.
