Victor (Mariao) Cruz, 67 of 900 E. King Street, Lancaster, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Victor was the son of the late Maximino Cruz and Isabela Rodriguez.  Mr. Cruz was a retired grocer from New York. He was a member of San Juan Bautista Church and enjoyed music.

Surviving are two daughters: Elizabeth Cruz and Zoriada Cruz, both of New York; four nieces: Geisha Cruz, wife of Guillermo Rodriguez; Lynnette Cruz, wife of Candido Crespo; Edalmira Hernandez, wife of Daniel Rivera; Antonia Cruz, wife of Eddie Ortiz; two nephews: Alexis Cruz, husband of Lucy Ortiz; and Radames Robledo, husband of Tracey Yonce, all of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a brother, Radames Rodriguez.

A Funeral Mass will be held at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke Street, Lancaster on Friday at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held at 474 S. Christian Street, Lancaster on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until Friday at 12:00 noon. A second viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home of Lancaster.
