Juana Torres Ortiz, 86, of Lancaster, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital. 

Born in Villalba, PR, she was the daughter of late Juan and Maria Torres, and was married to the late Wenceslao Rivera. 

A homemaker, Juana enjoyed dancing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Lancaster. 

Surviving are her children, Carmen Rivera and Luz M. Rivera of Ponce, PR; Miguel Rivera, Sodeida Rivera, Nereida Rivera, Miriam Rivera and Noel Rivera, all of Lancaster; 27 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jose Torres. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial from San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a Christian Prayer Service at 8:30 p.m. A second viewing will be held at the Church on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment in Mellinger’s Mennonite Cemetery.
