Jere
J. Sullivan, 80, of 20 Yardley Green, Lancaster, died Sunday
September 10, 2006 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late James and
Martha Loomis Sullivan. He was married for 63 years to Evelyn
E. Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan worked in the field of construction and was a
member of the International Association of Heat and Frost
Insulators and Asbestos Workers, local 23. Before starting his
career, he served in the US Army in the 87th Division of the
345th Infantry where he fought in the European Theatre of
Operation during World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his two sons, Raymond
and Jere, his daughters, Evelyn, Cynthia, and Sharon, 12
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two sisters,
Beverly and Geraldine. Mr. Sullivan was predeceased by two
brothers, Jack and Francis.
Friends will be received at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral
Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Wednesday September,
13, 2006 from 6-8PM. A time of sharing will begin at 7:45PM.
