William O. Brown, Sr. passed away on July 19, 2006 after an illness at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. William was the husband of Mary C. (Manning) Brown of Lancaster.  They were married for 24 yrs.  Born in Watterboro SC., he was the son of the late John and Geneva (Razor) Brown. 

Mr. Brown was employed for over 37yrs at Media Heights Country Club, retiring in 1989.

William was a member of Rays Temple Church of God and Christ.  He enjoyed all sports, especially Baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies.  As a youth he participated in local boxing.

Surviving beside his wife are 4 daughters.  Diane Etoy, wife of Grover Miller, Belinda, wife of Charles R. Christian, Joyce Lee, wife of George  Boyd and Angela B. Brown all of Lancaster.  13 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grand Children.  He was preceded in death by a son, William O. Jr. and a daughter, Wilma Jean Primes and two brothers Moses and Malachias Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 12:00 Noon from Rays Temple Church, S. Ann St. & East End Ave.  Calling time at Church 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Interment at Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery.
