Edmund J. Bruce, 86, of 857 Silver Spring Plaza, Lancaster, died Monday night at his home. Born in Shenandoah, PA, he was the son of the late Louie and Michaelena Barowski. Edmund was the husband of the late Mary L. Garber Bruce, who died in March of 2003.

Mr. Bruce was an analyst with the Social Security Administration for 30 years. He was a 1950 honor graduate of the University of Nebraska with a BA degree in Journalism. Mr. Bruce was a member of St. Leo the Great  Catholic Church in Lancaster. 

Surviving are two sons: Robert J. Bruce of Lancaster, and David T., husband of Delia Bruce of Landisville; four grandchildren: Angelita Keller, Loretta Bruce, Christine Bruce, and Jessica Bruce; and two great grandchildren; Eva D. Keller and Jade Bruce. 

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA, on Friday at 11:00 am. Entombment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
