The Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., located at 414 East King Street, Lancaster, was established in 1947 by its founder Charles F. Snyder in a beautiful, Georgian-style home. Formerly the estate of a local foundry owner, A. B. Rote, additions in 1959 and 1985 have added over 10,000 square feet to the facility, which became necessary as the business grew over the years.

In September of 1975, Charles F. Snyder, Jr. entered into the family business with his father. Under the supervision and guidance of his father, "Chip" learned how to take care of serving people with his father as his mentor. In 1988, Chip purchased the funeral home from his father and continues today with the same values his father, Charlie, taught him. Charles F. Snyder Sr. passed away in March of 2001.

This location features two large chapel rooms, which were recently beautifully redecorated in Williamsburg style, and is
handicap-accessible. Ample off-street parking is available.

Directions:

From Route 30: Exit onto Route 23 (New Holland Avenue), toward Lancaster. After 5 traffic lights, the road turns sharply left, and becomes N. Plum St. At the fourth traffic signal on N. Plum, turn Left onto E. King St. Immediately get into the right hand lane, and the Funeral Home will be on your right.
